Maxing credit cards affecting credit file

Hi,
I have a couple of credit cards which are nearly maxed up,
I dont have high limits on these cards, but over the years they have crept up.
Does anybody know how this may affect your credit score?
eg over 50% of a limit, or 90% , presumably will be seen as stretched.
Nice that credit card companies dont tell you anything about credit scoring or how to keep a good score!

You don't have a credit score, so it won't affect it at all.
Lenders don't disclose how they score applications, otherwise people could record false data on their application form to meet the criteria.
Lenders will see maxed credit cards as a big risk.0 -

They can't really teach you all about it, because there are too many possibilities. They provide you with access to a pot of money and ask for you to repay it. They can't know how it will impact on your credit worthiness.0
