Littlewoods - Returns advice?

I ordered some clothes from little woods and i have just received them however the jeans i got don't fit me so i would like to return them however im a little worried as it says they must be returned in their original packaging, they came in a sealed plastic clear bag which i had to brake open, does this mean they won't let me return them?

No you can return then. It's probably a bit naughty of LW to have that in their t&c, but under DSR you can 100% return them, as in a shop you would have the ability to try on.

Thanks i do have all the other original packaging, i ordered a few items they all came in one big plastic bag but inside they were all wrapped up individually in clear plastic bags i assume to keep them all clean, still have all labels etc attached, i was just worried that if i sent them back they will turn round and say they have been opened etc.

The Distance Selling Regulations give you a minimum of 7 working days to tell Littlewoods that you want to return them. Your right to cancel the contract within that timeframe is unconditional, so they cannot insist that the packaging is unopened. They also cannot insist that they are sent back in the original packaging.

You have a duty to take reasonable care of them until they are sent back so obviously don't get them dirty etc.

Return them via collect+ or post office otherwise you will get a returns agent trying to argue T&Cs at you.

I used to work for them, SO thats saying something.
