Bloomin Eck - UKPC Parking Ticket at Moorgate, Bury

Wow - I've just received a UKPC Parking Ticket for parking on Moorgate Retail Park in Bury, and thank goodness I looked on here before I paid it!
I left the site to use the cash machine across the road, then returned to the site to browse the shops (the signs weren't clear, in fact I didn't see one at all saying I shouldn't leave the site - but I believe they are there).
I was just about to pay the reduced charge of £60 when I searched this site and found a few threads about the same retail park. Sorry if my terminology is not correct, I'm a newbie and I've never needed to use a forum before, but I'm hoping it makes it easier for others who have had the same problems.
Anyway, I've read other threads on here and I have also read the 'newbie guide' - what a useful bit of reading that is (thank you very very much to the author). I'm going to follow the process outlined in the guide and see how I get on. I'm not looking forward to it as, from what I've read; UKPC will attempt to pile on the pressure a fair bit.
As an add on - there seemed to be something fishy going on as the photos taken by the parking attendant showed the ticket stuck right on the middle of my windscreen, however when I found the ticket it was screwed up and wedged down where my bonnet meets my windscreen.
Any advice / support would be appreciated. I'm waiting for the NTK to arrive before I take my first step (I'm hoping that's right and I've understood the guide).

In the grand scheme of things UKPC are not the most rapacious of PPCs, but, by the same token, they can't be ignored.
The parking chimp will have seen you leaving the site and should have done everything to mitigate any losses by approaching you and suggesting that he was here to enforce parking arrangements and should you leave the site, it was £100 (reduced to £60 for prompt payment).
I think I've heard that somewhere before? Oh yes, here it is:

Do read this, because it encapsulates much of your situation, and gives the very clear views of a senior judge. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
