UK_CPS letter NTK

I received a NTK letter from UKCPS. it says that as i did not pay the origianl 60quid fine, i now have to pay 100pounds.
i'm annoyed as i never received a ticket on my car nor a 1st letter about this. the letter states i cannot appeal as its past 28 days.

the reason for the fine was that my car was observed 'out of marked bay' which is ridiculous. as the markings weren't clear and it would make no difference to anybody where it was parked !!

They have obviously got my details from the dvla, im not sure if i can do anything at this stage?

they could use the fact your car was pink and its a banned colour id they wanted to in their "rules" , there are many such silly rules thay all use to increase the number of parking tickets issued

so its not about what you did, its about deciding you broke a rule and they want silly money for it

I would appeal anyway using the template in the newbies thread , also informing them you are complaining to the BPA and DVLA as per the newbies thread (due to no initial ntk being received) and make the 2 complaints, attaching scans of the paperwork

thanks for replying redx, shall i do the 2nd stage appeal, popla ?
uk cps comply with the british parking association, there is no popla code on the letter.

if not the 2nd stage appeal, which letter from the newbies section shall i send?

there is only one template letter in the newbies thread, in post #1

you cannot appeal to popla without a valid 10 digit popla verification code , which is issued by ukcps

you need to be seen to be trying to deal with this in any future issues , like court, so treat this first letter as the NTK

i was thinking of adding in points 1,2 and 3 from the post #1 in the newbies thread along with stating that i did not recieve the original NTK letter nor fine on my car window.
and finishing off with point 3 from 'take the formal route'.

is it worth mentioning that i did not receive an initial letter ?

the first thing to do is delete the word FINE from your vocabulary, it does not exist in the world or parking charge invoices , in other words you need to learn and use the correct words or they will take you for a numpty they can roll over

use the template in its entireity , adding that this is the first time you have had any correspondence about this so are using that as the date you first received a notice to keeper (as point 4)

at no time use the word fine in any of this saga , or in any correspondence either

by this bit in bold, do you mean make a copy of the NTK letter they sent me and attach it ?

im off to the said car park today, will talk to the site manager / staff and see if i can get any assistance out of them on this ''parking invoice''
