My Low impact collision position

A car claim against me is currently pending. The fault was entirely mine, the driver appeared to slam on and i was unable to stop in time ( I accepted responsibility) There was no damage to any cars and my insurance is calling it a "Low Impact Collision". The car I ran into was a taxi and had passengers. All three passengers including the taxi driver are pursuing individual claims for whiplash type injuries. As a result my insurance which was due for renewal as increased by £180 for the year. I initially had over 12 years no claims and didn't protect it. My insurance as decided to go down the route of trying to take it to court (and to be truthful I am glad as too many claims these days are fraudulent)
My question therefore is , if their claims are unsuccessful am I still liable for an increase in premiums? Any advice appreciated.

I think you are liable regardless of the outcome. You say you already accepted responsibility (never a good move).
Frankly, with no visible damage, I'd have denied having an impact at all. If there was no independent witness, the other parties couldn't prove otherwise.0 -
Sounds a possible crash for cash scenario, possible your insurer smells several rats too, maybe the names of the 'victims' has cropped up once too often.0

There was 3 people in the car. And being a taxi the passengers would have an element of independence. So deny having a collision would not only be fraudulent but wreck less!!!!
Comes to something also when the advice is to not take responsibility for your actions.
The claims may be fraudulent, they may not be. We don't know. But yes it's good the insurance company are not just rolling over as usual.
Either way op your insurance premiums are going up - you had a fault accident and deemed a higher risk. You can hardly grumble at this. Plus you'll leave it with like 10 years ncb anyway so I can't imagine your premium being too high still. With or without a claim0 -
Cost of claim has little impact on premium. If your insurers are lucky and make a 100% recovery of their costs you may get away with a lower rise as they'll have a nil net outlay and so normally won't impact ncd.
If they end up with any net outlay then it'll be impacted as you've seen0 -
Even with protected NCB your premium would still go up OP, just not by as much.0

Generally it will go down to three, if you have 5 or more to begin with and the insurers can't recover their full outlay.

Please say I'm misunderstanding here? If not I don't see how no claims can go down so drastically. Although ncb does seem to work in wierd ways, surely ncb is a matter of fact more than anything... You've done 10 whole years of the 15 you've had your license of driving without claiming?0 -
most insurers only count 5 years as a max and if you have a claim you generally lose two
5 - 2 = 30
