Not taking no for an answer!!

Hi

Just wanted to share my news, after years of meticulously managing debt from a previous relationship and turning my credit score around from very poor to excellent I've finally suceeded in achieving the financial goals I set myself.

I've been able to move away from sub prime credit cards, I don't owe anyone a bean and I sleep a lot easier at night. My confidence as also increased, recently I applied for a Santander 123 account and was declined on the basis my credit record wasn't good enough. I appealed the decision based on the fact my credit score is 986, there have been no missed payments in over 2 years and my outgoings in comparison to my salary are low.

Today the account with Santander was opened :money:

    Well done.

Let's hope that that shiny new account now has a balance that increases each month, making it ever less likely that you'll be knocked back into debt by the next emergency.

Well done, but you should know that your credit score - 986 - is just Experian's opinion of your credit file. Nobody else knows or cares about that number.

Your credit score can't have gone from poor to excellent as you don't have a credit score. Nor was the randomly assigned number 986 a factor in your application.

    Congratulations on successfully appealing though.
