Highview appeal advice please

I've read the stickies and only ended up more confused over the best way to deal with a Highview Notice (arrived today) for a parking overstay at Waterfield Retail Park on 23rd April. Unfortunately, I can't see anything specific to me, so sorry for asking a question for which the answer to may lie somewhere else on MSE!
As a blue badge holder, would simply adding something such as http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8488737.stm to my appeal email, ensure Highview cancel the ticket at the first hurdle?
Any advise would be much appeciated.

nothing can guarantee a cancellation
BUT yes you add the fact that a BB holder who qualifies under the EA 2010 was in the car at the time and you expect a cancellation as per the BPA CoP guidelines
bear in mind that a BB is nor relevant on private land, but the EA 2010 is !
also complain to the landowner or retailer asap and get it cancelled that way (as mentioned in the newbies thread)0 -
Thanks for your prompt reply Redx.
I did consider contacting the shops involved, such as argos and boots, but are they worth bothering with - I mean even though I did use them on this occasion, its just that you generally don't spend a lot of time in either, so I wouldn't expect much sympathy from them. Most people are working too hard to make really decent money:eek:0 -
of course it is, they do not like losing potential customers, neither now nor in the future due to parking issues , they want your custom , both now and in the future
if you dont ask , you dont get !
if they are not the landowners, they should know who is, and the landowner or managing agents can quash parking charges , especially when they hear the words EA 2010 and COURT ACTION0 -
Well, now you put it like that, it'd be rude not to complain to them!
Many thanks Redx! Most people are working too hard to make really decent money:eek:0 -
Update;
Appeal allowed, cancellation emai from highviel issued today.
No contact with shops was necessary, just email to highview - tried contacting shops but no direct numbers so gave up, but wouldn't have if appeal failed.
Many thanks again Redx, for your valuable input!:)Most people are working too hard to make really decent money:eek:0 -

Got a letter from DRP telling me I must pay £149.99:rotfl: to prevent a case being sent to the creditor's solicitors to commence c.....the pointless scaremongering BS continues for 3 more paragraghs, so I won't bore you any more with it.
Point is, as I stated earlier in this thread Highview cancelled the unpaid parking charge DRP are referring to.
So, do I:
1) Give Highview some abuse.:money:
2) Give DRP some abuse.:money:
3) Use their letter appropriately (please see title) and just ignore it.Most people are working too hard to make really decent money:eek:0 -
Send a very strongly worded complaint to Steve Clark of the BPA - email addy in NEWBIES sticky, post #6 - (send him copies of all the correspondence and also your POPLA letter confirming appeal allowed) and ask him to instruct Highview to call off their dogs.
Ask him what sanctions he will be imposing on Hv?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
