From looking at the DVLA website it seems clear that the photocard driving licences need renewing every three years.
It is not entirely clear if that also applies to someone who is still using one of the old paper licences.
Anyone know if it does or not?
It's not for me, I am a long long way off that particular milestone, but I have an elderly relative (90 this year) who I need to have a chat with about driving etc.

Driving licences expire when you are 70 - paper and photo card.
So whichever you have will have to be renewed at 70, and then every three years.0 -
Thank you for your reply, I wasn't sure if the old paper ones had an expiry date on them.0
