Oh my god.. lets get the tiny violin out for you... what do you want people to respond to this for? Hate all of these threads about how you havent won anything for a while and its annoying! You cant expect the riches of the competitions to keep flowing in weekly!
Not showing off, but look at my signature, I have been fortunate enough to win some amazing prizes in a short period of time of comping... yet have also not won nothing since very early January! Peaks and troughs as they say...
That was spiteful. Pity that a good attitude can't be won either eh?
Don't give up, it's swings and roundabouts.
I had a big win in 2011 and have been comping on and off since then and haven't won anything like it since! I enter 100's a day too.
I just think it makes the big wins even better when they do happen!
Stay positive :beer:0 -
I agree - a little harsh. The best advice I got from other compers was to expect nothing at all, to apply for lot of competitions (and I reckon to do around four hours each day) and to celebrate even the smallest win. The other point is to remember the lead time for lots of comps so when starting you are less likely to strike lucky immediately.
For me, this is a way to supplement my income - the bonus is that I am able to experience things I might not otherwise have treated myself to. The down side is the monotonous (even with autoform) completion of entries but you have to be in it to win it!Still cracking on....

Lots of good advice, i've also been comping for about 5-6 months with no wins yet but i will keep trying0

Keep at it, and if you like reading then try the competitions on Goodreads. I do have spells of not winning for a while but a lot of us do0

Keep at it. I have had times when I have won several prizes in a week and others where I have won nothing for months. You will win something eventually.Latest wins: Shower, knife sharpener, remote control BB8.0

Meh. I've not won since I started last September. Is my face bothered? No it isn't - because I'm not doing this with any sense of entitlement or expectation. If something comes my way well - great. If not that's not anyone's fault and I'll just potter on until I'm not enjoying it any more. The surest way to misery is to be doing this with a graspy attitude and a feeling that you are owed anything ever. Sadly, you ain't!0

This thread has certainly shown a lot of people's true colours! I'm sure most people have felt this way on occasion (I know I have) - Dan1ellem is just venting what we often think. Nothing wrong with that and no need for the mean comments.0

It can be tricky to stay motivated when you're not winning anything, but it will happen - at least that's what I keep telling myself!
Just the one win so far for me, but I enjoy doing the competitions.
Stay positive2015 wins: New Balance football kit.
2016 wins: Signed Mary Berry book. A holiday would be nice!
Thanks to all who post comps :T0
