Sounds a bit strange. Earn 3k over 6 months then get a new job and start off from 0 (effectively increasing their personal allowance by 3k)0

Apart from payroll stuff, there is a lot to learn about being an employer.
https://www.gov.uk/employing-staff has some very basic info. Are there any courses locally for new employers?0
