Now I've found the right button - I'll have another go ...
Got an 04 plate Honda Jazz with 120k on the clock
I suspect the clutch is on the way out given the mileage, but wanted to check symptoms, since not entirely as expected.
Pulls away Ok in 1st, but when changing up a gear mainly to 2nd it will over rev for a 5 -10 seconds without adding any speed. - but not all the time
Tried positioning in front of wall and letting out the clutch and engine stalls every time - would have expected clutch to slip then and not stall ?
Any opinions on clutch or could it be something else ?

Stick the car in 3rd gear and try to pull away. If the car doesn't stall and the revs go up then it needs to be replaced.
Sounds like it could be on its way out.0 -
as said in previous post, sounds like the clutch is at its end or could be due to hydraulic master cylinder if fitted with one, never done a jazz clutch. I do know these era Honda cars suffer with gearbox failure, so have the box fluid changed if the manual says its due!.0
