I used this on line service to sell a smallish quantity of scrap gold jewellery. You order a box on line which they send to you. Then you return your gold and wait for a price. After many weeks now I am still waiting for payment or my gold returned!
They do have a helpline number but this is rarely answered so I have been communicating with them via email. Sometimes I wait days for a response. First of all, they had my gold for ages before they gave me a price. Eventually the offer was emailed to me. I felt it was about £20 too low so, because they had messed me about, I asked for them to return it to me. No answer. Next email I sent was more threatening. This time I receive a reply telling me that their accounts department have already authorised payment. I replied saying I had never accepted their price and I with want the price quoted plus £20 or my gold returned. Several days later, still no payment or a reply email. I have told them that unless they have resolved my concerns by close of business tomorrow, I am reporting them to trading standards.
Please let me know if any of you have had dealings with https://www.Royalgoldbuyers.co.uk? Any advice gratefully received.:(

Love the video recommendation from" a customer" ..so fake..mentions the name royalgoldbuyers 8 times in 2.45 minutes-
The director is German and lives in Germany.
Both addresses are serviced offices if not virtual offices. They do say they have a London office but that's under an address that offers business lounges for rent .0 -

That would explain the weird wording of the emails I've received. I've been properly ripped off in my desperation for some much needed cash towards my son's 21st. I'm such an idiot when I only live a few miles away from Birmingham's jewellery quarter! :mad:0 -
I have still not received my gold back or been paid :eek::(
Any advice on what I should do?0 -
Send a "Letter before Action". Keep it short telling them you want your items returned within 14 days otherwise you will commence proceedings with the Small Claims Court.
If they fail to comply, issue proceedings against their registered address in Birmingham.0 -
Apparently the op doesn't live far from their registered address. Isn't it a fact they have to display their company name their and allow their company accounts to be examined there? Or have I got that wrong? I just wonder if they are operating purely by diverting their mail to Germany via that office.0
