They are not specific to him. They are generic reasons that appear on all CCLs.

Yes, they are generic in that the concerns fall into a number of different types but the ones that I have given as examples are quite specific to my OH's circumstances and the reasons for his claim of having been mis-sold PPI.

    I refer to
"(b) Those key specific sales failings which have led the firm to conclude that the customer may have been mis-sold. The firms should explain (where relevant) that it has not reviewed the customer’s particular sale, but that they belong to a group of consumers whose PPI sales may have been affected by certain common failings in the firm’s sales practices. The firm should explain why it thinks the customer may be one of the (group of) customers affected."

The intention of my first post was to suggest that the OP looked at the key specific failings which have led the bank to conclude that he may have been mis sold PPI in order to help complete the form.

Unfortunately as I think faster than I can type and tend to skim rather than proof read, I omitted the word "may"....

Done that before. Usually on a key word too which results in the opposite to what I mean!

I received confirmation of my claim on Saturday in the post. How long do Lloyds take to send the cheque? The letter is dated 30th April.

Hi georgiasmum. You should receive it within 28 days of our decision letter. You can find some info within our FAQs.

    Hope this helps,
