Sounds like you had a lucky escape - I believe that companies should not be asking for more than 25% as a deposit payment.

Just checked with MCS who advise that Green Energy NW ltd are suspended from the accreditation scheme and cannot make installations during the six week suspension.

The reason for suspension was not known but the helpful guy said it could be just that they had not put forward installations for checking.

Even so during the suspension they are prohibited from installing solar systems.

sorry but they have taken my 50% deposit and and havent seen them since.... am sure they have done a runner as no calls being answered and nothing on companies house either.

They phoned today to confirm our installation next week is still on.

I had to tell them that I could not agree to any installation since they are in VA and MCS suspendion and so prohibited from installations that could be registered for FIT.

I am desperately sorry for companies in this situation but the risks are too great for the customer.

I wouldn't touch GreenEnergy Nationwide (NW) with a barge pole. I had some fit by them, had a lady come round and although she was very polite she told me the inverter had to go in the porch which I thought sounded odd as I didn't really think it was right. Then all the parts were delivered on my drive and when I tried to find out when they were coming I couldn't get hold of them as they weren't answering the phone, about 6 hours later and a lot of wondering if to unpack the pallet and get it inside before it got wet they turned. They told me to ignore the woman and put it where I want which made me happier as I didn't want it in the porch but then you think why did the lady even bother coming and listening to the installers slag her off I started thinking this isn't very professional. Then after recommending them to some friends and contacting them for my recommendation fee I kept been told the director isn't there to sign what needs to be signed so after about 8 months of trying to get hold of my fee I've given up and think it's time that people should know how unprofessional and dishonest this company is.
