Rover 216 Radio Code Problem

Can anyone help, I'm selling my late father's Rover 216 the battery was flat so I've put in the radio code but it says it's incorrect, I have the details for the Radio but the code doesn't seem to work the details in the handbook are SN BP026328493570 Security Code: 6276 I've taken out the Radio and it has the SN: RG597W21122604 do I need a different code?

Dont think you will get much luck, I would suggest finding a local company who can find codes for you, as i think the only way they will get the code is to dump the eeprom, which means being near the car.

I wouldn't trust any online companies, find someone local.

Also have you looked at ebay, might be able to pick up a cheap second hand one with code for £20

If course I could be wrong and someone will follow up shortly with a code!!:)
