Case for reclaiming PPI?

Logik
Hello all,
My husdand is about to fill in the form to send to Barclaycard to reclaim PPI that he's been paying for 20+ years.
It covers death and sickness/accident only.
He has worked for the same company throughout. He has life cover through his employers and also gets paid sickness too so doesn't need the PPI. He can also get help from family members if needed.
Does he have a case for being mis sold?
Thanks.
