Using Sale Of Goods Act with a manufacturer not shop?

Hi guys,
I've got a Samsung TV that has just dies after a little over 3 years (bought Feb 2011). And I'd like to get it repaired using the Sale Of Good Act, fit for purpose / last a reasonable length of time section.
The issue is I bought it from Best Buy who closed down a while back. Do I have any recourse with Samsung, if so how should I go about it?
I'd like to think I am not being unreasonable in expecting a TV to last longer than 38 months?
TIA,
Martin.

SoGA gives you recourse against the entity that you entered into the contract with. In other words, no you can't use it against the manufacturer.
However, all isnt necessarily lost. How did you pay for it and how much was it? If your answers are credit card and over £100, the card company are jointly liable with bestbuy.
ETA: btw it not lasting a reasonable length of time is not enough to entitle you to a remedy. It needs to have failed due to an inherent fault. If its failed through misuse for example, this is not covered under SoGA.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

Thanks for the reply. It was over £100, I paid with a debit card.
We certainly have not misused the TV. It sits in our bedroom on a stand and is used like anyone would normally use a TV. I just assumed the 'reasonable' length of time a TV should last is longer than 38 months. If a part fails inside, is that not a fault?
Anyways thanks for the reply

Just because a part fails does not make it a fault, as it is over six months you may be asked to prove by the way of a report that it is an inherit fault. If the report finds in your favour then best buy would have to refund you that cost.0
