I thought that when you used a supermarket car park it was at your own risk. At least, that is what the sign in my local supermarket says.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Burlington6 Tesco are at fault. nothing has happened to the car in the last 6 weeks and our mechanic has said that it was definitely caused by the brick hitting the underside of the car. It doesn't matter now because the car is set for the scrappy's. Tesco has a responsibility to maintain its premises to a reasonably safe standard including its car park. That brick as well as damageing our car gave us a real scare as we were just driving out of the car park onto a fairly busy roundabout with an 8 month old baby in the car!! The store hasn't repaired the cobbles now even though there are more loose stones and there is still a gaping hole where the brick came out.

No, a local mechanic can't make that decision. Anything could have damaged it in the six weeks...and don't start with the children in the car sob story

Won't somebody think of the children - did you have to wrestle for control while the other passengers were screaming

Just had a look at a colleagues Mazda 6 in the car park - I'd love you to post a pic of exactly how the brick got from the front tyre to the radiator

It did't bother you loading your child in the car for the next six weeks whilst it was spewing water out though?

"we reported it to Tesco and they said that they doubted it would have done any damage and if we were worried to take it to a garage to get checked and let them know."

You didn't get it checked so it was obviously not too much of a worry.

Given the time that has elapsed I doubt whether Tesco would, or should, accept any responsibility.

Cant get my head round the physics of an object being thrown forwards after being driven over forwards.
