I suspect (but don't know for sure) that Mum is a more experienced contributor here, knows the ropes, etc. Yes, Ladyh667 should have deleted her duplicate posts - and there are many other recent posts of all kinds which could have and perhaps should have been deleted. But perhaps Ladyh is not so board-wise.

So it's kinder to err on the side of generosity and ask politely, rather than use the somewhat direct language which I did find a bit nasty.

In the end, posters like Ladyh667 are those we want to encourage. Those who are quick to put down are perhaps a little impatient with newer members.

It goes without saying that we should all try to avoid duplicate posts by reading the whole thread, and even previous PB threads. We ALL do that - don't we?

just a few people pointing out something that unfortunatly appears to be ignored time and again (oh dear)

to be fair, any hint of harshness is probably more annoyance from the posters having to repeat (just an observation)
