Then what is needed is polite suggestion, not nastiness. At least "the poster" was making a positive contribution and trying to help.

Thank you, Ladyh667. Don't be discouraged, but perhaps consider putting the answers together in one post.

It's a matter of courtesy. Yesterday mum&skint kindly deleted her posts to allow ladyh667 to take the credit (both were posting at the same time). today as ladyh667 has clearly noticed her error it would be polite of her to edit her posts and allow the people who were that bit quicker in posting the answers to be thanked. I don't think anyone's been nasty.
I agree up to your last point, Lizalu.

I suspect (but don't know for sure) that Mum is a more experienced contributor here, knows the ropes, etc. Yes, Ladyh667 should have deleted her duplicate posts - and there are many other recent posts of all kinds which could have and perhaps should have been deleted. But perhaps Ladyh is not so board-wise.

So it's kinder to err on the side of generosity and ask politely, rather than use the somewhat direct language which I did find a bit nasty.

In the end, posters like Ladyh667 are those we want to encourage. Those who are quick to put down are perhaps a little impatient with newer members.

It goes without saying that we should all try to avoid duplicate posts by reading the whole thread, and even previous PB threads. We ALL do that - don't we? ;)

Not sure if this has been posted or not, but todays clue for the Musical Treasure Hunt/£10 CDWOW Voucher is Is Curly hiding in a pile of romantic novels?

Could it be Mills & Boon by any chance? ;)

I hope i'm not stepping on anyones toes by posting the answers. Its just I have been a member of PB since last year and because the answers/crossword were changed at night, i was tucked up in bed, but now they are changed through the day i feel like i should do my part and give back to the thread. :)

Don't worry about it.. As far as I'm aware it's whoever gets there first - I think any bad vibes in this thread have come from PB going crap all of a sudden :)

You are not treading on anyones toes, thanks for doing the answers for us.
Anyone doing the answers is welcome and we are all grateful.I know i do not have the time to search for all the quizzes everyday.
Thanks to all who do this for others benefit:T

But if everyone could check to see if they have already been posted it just saves everyone trawling through repeat posts.Sometimes posters post simultaneously ,that cannot be helped.

I would still like to thank Lady H!

I start at the end of the pigsback thread - so here and work back a few pages then go to the front where the answers normally are!

Makes no difference to me but I do know that alot of people just visit the 1st page for all answers which is why they are always updated there. I dont see theres any problem tbh

Thanks to ANYONE posting answers as far as in concerned!

Not sure there is any need for comments like this!

Can we go back to the answers being posted on page 1 (post 3) like they used to be?

This was really easy and meant that everyone knew what had been posted and where to look.

since when were they on the first page?

i've always just gone to the end of the thread to find em (until some !!!!!! decides to start a new one )
