Missing paperwork?

Hi all,
I've been hunting through old papers as I am assessing whether to make a PPI claim (was told when I applied for a loan that I had to have the insurance to be considered). What I haven't been able to find yet is the letter the loan company sent me some 5 or so years into the life of the 10 year loan in which they cancelled the insurance. This letter came out of the blue (I didn't request it) and gave no explanation of why the insurance had been cancelled so I didn't think twice about it at the time.
I have submitted a DPA subject access request to the company so should be able to get hold of a copy that way but just wondered if anyone could advise me whether this cancellation would have any impact on my PPI claim?
Many thanks

If they cancelled, if your complaint is successful, you'll only receive back what you paid.
It is common with longer loans that the PPI wouldn't cover you for the length of the loan.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
