Replacing screen on Nexus 7

Afternoon All,
I very cleverly dropped my Asus Nexus 7 on the floor and now the bottom left corner of the screen is broken. The device works fine except that the touchscreen on the area that's smashed doesn't work.
I've looked online at replacing it but most places are charging £80 to replace the screen, digitizer and LCD but how do I know if all 3 need replacing or just the screen? If it's £80 for the parts I might as well spend £150 on a new one.
Any chance of some advice please?
Thanks

In theory it's possible to replace individual parts. In practise I believe it is extremely difficult to separate the parts that doing all 3 together is more reliable and guaranteed to effect a repair.0

There are 2 parts, not 3. There's the LCD screen (where the picture comes from) and the digitiser (that does the touchy stuff). I've repaired one recently. I assume we're talking about the original, 2012 Nexus 7, that doesn't have the rear camera. How can you tell which needs replaced? If you're still getting a perfect picture, the screen's fine. If it's just smashed glass, that's just the digitiser. The problem is they're glued together and very difficult to get apart, so it doesn't matter which is broken!. I bought a screen/digitiser from eBay for under £40 that came with a screwdriver and two 'spudger' type things that make repair relatively easy.screen, digitizer and LCD
Just for completeness, I did separate a screen from a broken digitiser. There are instructions on how to do it online, but most people will tell you don't bother! It involves an oven or a hairdryer or heatgun and some fishing cable. You have to heat up the glue, and slice the 2 parts apart slowly. This leaves you with a screen covered in glue. You put wood polish on it and clean clean clean. And scrape. I've got a working screen with a few marks on it. It's not financially viable really but a good learning experience.0
