Potterton Apollo 30

Options
This may be a daft question but here goes.

I have just moved into a new house and there is a combi boiler fitted. Model is Potterton Apollo 30 and is newly fitted.

I just wondered if anyone knows the recommended settings for energy efficiency on your boiler. I am wanting to keep the house between 18-21 degrees of course to enable it not cost me a fortune on my gas bills.

The heating temp control is between 25 and 80 and the water is between 40 and 60.

Any help be much appreciated.

Water should be set around 55c.
Its the room stat and/or TRVs that you adjust to change your room temperature, the boiler would normally run around 70c.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

It will use the same amount of gas to heat the house to the same temp, whatever the setting (everything else being equal). With the CH flow temp, down, it will just take longer to get to the set temp.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
