Why not change it to their new account paying 4%? You are only allowed one plus a joint one though.

Don't see what Lloyds has announced is the end of high interest current accounts as it is now offering 4% rather than 3% with a few cinema tickets or magazines on top. What it is doing is whittling out the multiple Vantage current accounts.

..just been "googling" and noted the new account paying 4%...but needs £1,500 per month..but no mention of DD's that I can see...(?)...problem is I don't earn that much...may have to borrow some of TOH....just a bit of a pain to set up...

Yes you do have to have two DDs and they have to be monthly ones at that.

..that's put the "kybosh" on that then.....do not have enough DD's to do Lloyds and Santander...I think I will just move my main account to Sant...nb will leave a few quid in Lloyds so that when Santander 123 finishes I can move back with minimum effort....

Here's a novel idea for you: what if you checked out the MSE forums, perhaps somebody else has come across the same sort of issues and has found a solution?

Ah, I just got the same letter. I could switch mine to the new 4% account, but this is a useful nudge to make me transfer to Santander 123, which is much better for me anyway.
