    Am a big fan of the use of a UV light and filter, easily obtained from the web. Just don't get one which has a sponge inside.

    Which one to buy depends on the size of pond.

    Still thinking of a combined pump and uv light, just the smallest one possible, still cost about £30

    Perhaps you could describe your water feature?

    UV would be my first choice, but if thats not suitable, drain and scrub, refill and add some of this stuff or similar product.
