On the Electorl Roll

Hi,
I've never signed any forums for the electoral roll. Without getting in to a debate about the rights and wrongs of it (tin foil hat etc :A ), I got a polling card through the post yesterday.
I don't understand how this can have happened as I have never given any details to the council. They used my given name rather than full name. I am registered to pay council tax
Any ideas?

Do you live by yourself?Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

Only one person in the household has to fill in the form. Who else lives with you?0
