Things to do in Mykonos, Any recommendations?

Can anyone who has been to Mykonos recommend anything worth doing?

Places to eat and visit?

Is it worthwhile to go to Santorini just for the day and if so can this be arranged when there or better to do from here?

Can't help much with Mykonos, and not really a Santorini fan... The 'top 3' on Santorini (I think) are the tourist trail round Fira, sunsets at Oia, and the ruins at Akrotiri. Dunno if you'll get a day trip from Mykonos, but best booking when you get there anyway.

Agree with the above posts. Santorini fan though.

as I recall it takes over 2hrs each way to get from myknonos to santorini so you won't get much time on santorini if you are only planning to go for the day - especially if it's using scheduled ferries as they don't start too early or run too late

having been to both personally i prefer santorini over mykonos

is splitting your time between the two an option?

you should be able to sort out ferries once you are there unless you are travelling at peak times

OH has been there and he said it was fantastic, albeit a little prissy at times.

Thanks for the replies guys. I am flying out this weekend making it difficult to try and split the trip with Santorini! Maybe save that for next time!!

Hopefully be able to keep myself occupied for a week!!
