ESP infinite alarm interference with broadband

I had a ESP infinite wireless alarm installed a few weeks ago however recently my internet has slowed down by 50%. The BT engineer has isolated the problem to the main alarm box where the telephone line is connected.
What is the solution to this? do I need a filter and if so,what kind?
Your help would be appreciated

Does sound like a microfilter isn't fitted or its faulty.0

If your alarm is connected to your phoneline then it doesn't have a filter fitted

Not necessarily.
Some alarm systems come with built in filters for connecting to the phone network.
Check with your manufacturer, supplier or fitter, they should be able to advise.
Then look at the filter suggested above and fit it.0 -
If it had a filter on it, the broadband would be working fine.
Since the broadband isn't fine and the BT engineer traced the fault to the alarm logic dictates there's no filter.
