Has anybody used any websites to hire a static caravan direct from the owner?

I am after recommendations please xx

Have you tried a Facebook page local to the park, such as a for sale or swap page, I find they are the most useful.

Otherwise, you'd need to speak to either the park (some will advertise through there - depending on the park) or drive down if feasible, as some advertise in local shops etc.

That's a good idea. I never thought of a local (to the area) fb page. I see quite a few people advertising caravans to let locally to me, on our selling page.

We've used ukcaravans4hire.com before. They have a late deal section too which is what we ended up using as we had already booked a caravan holiday from the sun deal and were all packed up ready to go when about half an hour before we were due to leave they rang to say that there was no water to any caravans as the pipes were frozen. We did rearrange for different date but our 5 yr old was very upset to be missing his holiday so we had a quick search online to find anything anywhere and what we found was an absolutely gorgeous caravan, available that day for the 4 days we had planned to holiday for, for only £100. I would use that site again. I have also used ebay to rent a holiday lodge before which was also fine too. Hope you find what you are looking for.

Ebay can be a general good start but you need to have a think where your going . As advice for all has put some good places . Good places are often recommended by friends so ask around them too.

We have used https://www.directholidayhomes.co.uk and https://www.static-caravan.co.uk in the past and have had some lovely caravans. Many don't include the park passes but this doesn't bother us as we generally don't tend to use the on site facilities and use the van as a base to explore the local area.
