Hi, I'm looking to purchase shares within a retail firm. I've never bought shares before. How do I go about doing this? Will I need a broker etc?? Thanks

I opened a Market Master account via Barclays - its not the cheapest but they provide good information i feel.My Goal: From 1st of Jan 2015 to 31st of December 2015 is to save 30000.
48.78% towards 2015 target.
105.3% towards 2014 target. :j0 -
I use X-O - its a simple, low cost way to buy and sell shares online (£5.95 flat per trade) -

There are no account opening fees, management charges or inactivity fees, you can trade in any quoted UK equity (but not foreign stocks or unit trusts - What markets can I deal in?).Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk0
