samsung appliances

i am having trouble with samsung.i have 2 ovens from them that i bought about 3 years ago.the interiors are eroding but they refuse to help at all.i dont think this should be happening.we paid extra for samsung appliances because they came with a 5 year warranty but since registering them we have found out that you had to further register for the extra 3 years making it 5 in total.we could not find this anywhere in the small print so assumed just registering validated the whole guarantee.we have been in touch with them a few times about the ovens and a washing machine which is also just over 2 years old that is also having problems.again we stuck with samsung for the extra guarantees which they tell us we have lost out on and refuse to put me through to anyone who can discuss the erosion issue which i feel is a problem with the manufacturing of the oven .i have spent thousands on appliances from them and feel very let down by samsung who refuse to help me and are even very rude on the phone, hanging up each time as we try to argue our case.i just wonder if you can give any advice on what i can do as samsung wont budge.as it looks i am going to have to try and replace the washing machine soon and going by the erosion on the ovens those too.if i had known these appliances were only going to last me 3 years i would never have spent more on them and would have got cheap ones.i hope you can give me some advice if there is anything i can do about this

Have a read of MSE's Consumer Rights article.

Not quite your scenario, but in that article you will find:
    Know who's responsible

When returning items, beware shops trying the oldest trick in the book: saying they're not responsible for the shoddy goods and you must call the manufacturer. This is total nonsense!

If a company fobs you off by saying “go to the maker instead”, it's wrong. It's the retailer's job to sort it.

It doesn't matter if it's an iPod from a high street shop or a designer frock from a department store. If something's broken, torn, ripped or faulty, the seller has a legal duty to put it right as your contract is with it.
Also in that article you will see that you have up to six years to seek a remedy from the seller.

Have you spoken to whoever sold the thing to you yet?
