Is it a wired or wireless mouse? Rather than restart the PC have you tried just disconnecting and reconnecting the mouse?
What OS do you have?Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Yes I have done that.It makes no difference.I have a wireless mouse and I have changed the batteries.
My son fitted a new hard drive on Sunday but I had the problem before that.
OS? Is it operating system?I have windows XP.As you will have realised I am not too good, but I am hoping you will be.:)
ps my son went home on Sunday so is not here to fix it.0 -
Borrow a mouse and see if that works. If so then probably time for a new one.0

Have you tried the wireless receiver in another USB port?
Check that the drivers are up to date.
I'll second trying another mouse.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

I gave up with wireless mice and keyboards - forever having problems, but as someone said - check the mouse drivers - and do a full scan of your systems - it could be malware0
