I wish I could share the good luck, T2rry. It's really weird, I did think twice about posting about it on here as I know many are really struggling and didn't want to be insensitive. I thought about how I've been following other people's diaries and journeys and how I'd feel if I saw they'd had some good luck and knew, even if I didn't have it myself, I would be really pleased for them.

But as you said, maybe a smidge jealous... Not that I wouldn't want them to have it, but wishing I could, os I'm hoping that's the case and people don;t think "smug cowbag, I wish she'd do one".

I've also been thinking about should I carry on posting on here and have decided that yes, I will. It will keep me on the straight and narrow until the Barclaycard is paid off, and beyond, and will cement my new thrifty habits so when I am DF I will stay that way! plus, I've 'met' some really lovely (and nuts) people on here and want to keep up with them and see them be DF.

In other news... BED SHOPPING THIS AFTERNOON!!!!! Yay!

Absolutely! I think it's fantastic, and really the smidge of jealousy, for me anyway, is more about seeing the changes come...I know mine are coming (shall be making very pleasing head way come payday!) it's just impatience on my part! I don't think anyone will have anything but :j and :T for you :)

Completely agree...I started a diary here in Feb 2013. It only lasted a couple of months as I had already cleared A LOT of 'post-uni' debt and then, during the diary, cleared the rest (apart from the still-in-existence college loan which I never worried about too much as it started at £14,500 so was already massively reduced)

As I'd cleared everything I was worried about and started concentrating on saving a house deposit, I stopped using the DFW thread. Bad idea! I then forgot about it all and, whilst I think we did extremely well saving our entire house deposit in 8 months, I forgot to worry about debt so the move cost extra (as they always do!) and that snowballed as I could never clear the credit card before something else came up (including 2 new beds for us etc etc etc!) I shall not be making that mistake again, especially when you see so many threads of people returning a year later or pushing their debt free day back year upon year...I say stick with it!
