Sorry if this is not the correct place.
I have a query and wondered if anyone knew where I stand.
I took out car insurance online with Swinton car. Via a comparison site but can't remember which one...
Anyway I am sure I remember paying a small amount extra to get a protected no claims.
In Feb I had an accident and was filed as I was in fault.
I'm looking at the hard copy of my documents and does indeed say I have 5 years protected no claims and yet from a phone call I just made Swinton say I don't have any. In my documents it states I am protected as long as no more than 2 claims were made within a 5 year consecutive period.
Looking over old insurance docs I have one claim made dec 07 and one made dec 08 and so I should be ok?
I just wanted to know whether Swinton will go with their online details or my hard copy?
I thought I would ask on here before I call Swindon back.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

If you have written evidence of protected no-claims bonus then stick to your guns and don't be fobbed off. Don't ever send back the original document if asked, always send a photocopy. You never know if you'll need it for court evidence if it goes that far.0
