employment support allowance new claims

hi.
i am really worried i have made a claim just over a week ago and spoke to them yesterday to give my bank details, i have now recieved a txt message stating my new claim has been awarded but i have not sent a sick note i i have them in the cupboard what the hospital gave me when i got discharged but i dont know what to do with them.
it is a mental illness that will never go away is that why?
im really worried and dont know whatt to do i have never claimed this before but doctors say im unable to return to work

    You will need to send the sick note in - give them a ring and they will tell you what happens next.

    i have rang them and they said i will get one payment of 64 pound from 19th and then on 6th i will receive 2 weeks payment but didnt say what amount that would be, can anyone advise what the rates will be? we have claimed as a couple? i really dnt understand al this

  • I believe you can do that. They should be able to scan/copy them and then send original off. Hopefully somebody else could confirm. You should ring and make appointment if you can as I think that's how it's done nowadays.
