help after redundancy

Good morning all.

DH was told he was redundant 2 weeks ago. He finished immediately but isn't actually redundant until this Friday. He has spent the 2 weeks looking for another job without any success.

We have no idea what help we will get or where to start. What figures to give to CTC?, if he will be entitled to JSA? who to contact first and when to contact them. Can we do it today or do we wait until after the actual day?

I hadn't been working, we have 5 children, our ds gets DLA, higher rate, so I have been getting carers but have also spent the last 2 weeks looking for work (I'm finding it even harder as I haven't worked for 9 years now and got no references or anything)

Thank you for any help.

Sorry for late reply, been a busy week.
    Thank you for your help.
JSA forms filled out ready to submit later today once kiddies in bed and can check through them. Will hopefully see where we go from there.

As a carer you just ring income support and claim a top up on a joint claim. No need to claim jsa.
