query regarding effect of partner's credit

Possibly a silly question....
I have always had a good credit rating, been lucky over the years, but my partner has not.....
We have been living together for a number of years, but our finances are separate, in that I have my accounts, and he has his. We don't have anything in joint names apart from a couple of bill accounts.
If we marry, but keep our finances the way they are at the moment, will my credit rating be negatively affected? Could his credit rating benefit?
We decided to not have a joint account a while ago as a result of his past credit history, which he is well on the way to rectifying.
Ta ever so

Hi
Being married will make no difference to whether you are financially associated on your credit files.
The bills accounts you mention - are these accounts definitely not reported on any of your credit reports?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Tixy, no they are not on the credit reports.
