This is not the same company - Green Energy Nationwide is Green Energy NW Ltd not Green Energy Nationwied Plc

Checking the company again Green Energy Nationwide filed accounts as a dormant company, the secretary and board member (Philip Halliwell) resigned in January leaving David Halliwell as director. Looks to me like the company is folding.

That leaves Solar Essence or the much more expensive Evo Energy.

No one's commented on the cheaper Chinese/Malasian kit and looks like it's not so common in the UK.

Looks like Green Energy Nationwide is the best quote.

    I might keep looking.

Sorry Ed...but where do you get that from, I've had a bottle of red wine but even re-reading nrsql's posts(several times) there's no mention of excessive hot water use?

I had a bit of a brain malfunction and got mixed up with the thread about the house with six occupants, each with their own shower.

That was my discussion (on an old thread that I revived) - glad I've found this thread too!

    This is all incorrect

Just checked Green Energy Nationwide again and the other Halliwell has gone from the board. New member N.D. Atkins - owner of a construction company that started last year.

Doing a quick search I think I may have found what is going on with the company but won't post as the connection might not be correct.

My bad - just talked to them and it's a completely different company.
I was looking at Green Energy Nationwide Plc.
They are Green Energy NW Ltd trading as Green Energy Nationwide.

Looks like they are in good standing registered 2009.
I'm going to try and edit all the posts I have made but looks like they are the cheapest quote for me now.
I've suggested they might look into their trading name.

Had one today for £6900 which includes micro-inverters rather than a string inverter.

Gone ahead with a quote - just waiting for the schedule which should be 2 weeks.

A 16 panel 4kW system seems to be about £5,400 - £6,200 now including EPC/monitor and everything else. Still a few marketing at around the £9k mark so watch out.
This gives a 6-7 year payback (depending on lots of things) for a south facing unshaded roof which makes it a no-brainer imho.
  • Just wondering on whether the quote you took up was from Green Energy Nationwide - and if so, what would your judgement be on the installation etc?
