This club is for everyone who has gone or going through the process of Bankruptcy during May 2014. So please feel free to join and post.

Pop your name on here, the date that you went/are going Bankrupt. Then just keep everyone in the club updated throughout the next year about your BR journey. That way you can all stick together, compare notes and be there to support each other during the different stages of your Bankruptcies.

Remember this is your board so keep posting :hello:

Obviously anyone can come on here and post anything that will help and you are all welcome. Any important questions that need answering please still post them on the main board, as you will receive more advice and help.

6 months I have been bankrupt. Wow where has that gone and all is going well and I am happy.

Greetings All - been reading this forum for a while now - Many thanks for all the useful information. Got my court appointment scheduled for the 7th of May - apprehensive and nervous , now to get the forms in order and be a fully fledged member next Wednesday...

Hope it all goes well. Something I did was go down to the court a couple days before and found where I am going and where to park and how much it is.

Hiya QQ and welcome to May's BR Club, I've added you to post one :beer:

Thinking of you on next Wednesday and let us know how you get on.

My checklist, what to take to court :-

- Your two copies of 6.27 and 6.28 and the Originals, do not sign them, you do this in front of the clerk. Your completed EX160 if applicable and any benefit letters/forms etc as proof (Important - letters have to be dated within one month of your court date and no later).

- Money for bankruptcy fees.

- Spare change for coffee machine.

- Paper or magazine to read while waiting.

- Change for car park.

- Optional a friend to chat to/hold hand.

NB Do ring the BR Clerk at your court as to what they require from you, as it does differ from court to court.

I went BR 2 weeks ago, and was feeling exactly the same as you, felt totally nervous and sick before the appointment at the court, and I know this is easy for me to say, but please don't worry, it's more of a formality than anything, and you'll walk out of there feeling like a weight has lifted off your shoulders. I was asked just a few questions and then waited for almost an hour and I was off, could hardly believe it. Had my phone call with the OR yesterday and he was really nice and friendly and I think basically that it is, it's over, and the relief is immense, so really hope you feel the same way too...good luck next week!

I am seeing solicitor tomorrow to get forms signed and have plans to submit court forms next Friday 9th May and will then get a date for court. Feeling very nervous!!!! Hi all
