Cannon Chichester cooker blows fuse

Cannon Chichester gas cooker (Model no. 10572G) blew a fuse, when I replaced it and switched on it immediately blew again with accompanying bang/pop and slight smell of burnt plastic. Hob and small oven work using gas lighter but main oven needs electrical connection. I have not investigated the problem yet but it could possibly be mouse damage (little b*****s) or a blown smoothing capacitor. Any advice here or anyone got info on smoothing device's values? I think it should not be too hard to fix but looking for any info prior to starting. Thanks.
