Hi,

I have a Publisher document that I need to email, it is usually around 16 pages and has a lots of photos in and usually I convert to PDF and put the quality to standard which leaves a PDF of around 3MB.

We installed Office 2013 a few weeks back and now this document with fewer pages and very few photos is 11MB on the lowest quality.

I cant understand why, I have compressed the few photos there are in the report, what else might it be?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

On the PDF its created, can you still select text or not? (ie is it converting the whole thing to images)

Dont have Publisher 2013 to check but evidently need to look at the options as per http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/publisher-help/save-as-pdf-HA010354239.aspx#BM9

Office saves all sorts of information about documents including undo-delete info, formatting changes, tracking if turned on etc..

Open the original document, edit it then do a save as rather than a save. That should reduce the size.
