No unfortunately this house is rented from a friend of a friend and they only took £300 deposit from us so we don't have much to recieve back. Our local council only provides those schemes if you are threatened with homelessness!

It would be worth talking to a local credit union or 2 still. They may be able to help. Occasionally some credit unions will allow a loan as soon as you join and start to save.

Is £2000 just for the deposit? or does that include moving costs etc as well?
A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give

I have access to a friends van so thats not a problem. Its just the deposit, agency fees and first months rent which all has to be paid when you sign up. Totals just short of £2000. Horrendous i know!
