Poor credit £2000 loan needed
Options
Any idea who would help with a £2000 loan, willing to pay back over 12 months? Not got the worst credit history but no ccjs etc, a default from last year, one from 2 years and 4 years ago. My bank wont help so I'm guessing the other high street lenders wont either. I'm not a homeowner or car owner.
I've never had a loan before as I've always saved if I've need something but the reason for this loan doesn't give us much time unfortunately.

I'm willing to lend you a hundred quid if it will help at all0

If your bank won't help you (and they know you best) then it's unlikely any other mainstream bank will help you.
If you could pay this back over 12 months, then presumably you have £167 spare every month - is it something urgent that requires payment or something you could save up for? Even saving up for six months turns a proposed £2,000 loan into a £1,000 loan."Facism arrives as your friend. Are the defaults all settled?
Do you have any existing credit facilities at all that are not defaulted? If so then those lenders may be a possibility?
I would imagine you will struggle to find anywhere.
You probably know this already, but if searching online be wary of loan brokers who charge fees.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Thanks! ;-)
Its needed within four months maximum so no way i could raise that amount in that time. I don't expect high street lenders to help me thats what i meant, are there any other lenders that i may not know about that would?0 -
If you could give an indication as to what the money is for, someone on the MSE forums might be able to help point you in the direction of alternative funding.
What about a local credit union? Although I think that they require you to save with them before lending any money.0 -
Your credit doesn't sound *that* bad. Could you attempt getting an overdraft limit for that amount instead?0

Possibly you could look in to your local credit unions.
Usually you need to join and start saving with them first, but if you have 3-4 months that may be a possibility. How much could you save within the 4months (as with many credit unions the size of the loan they will consider is determined by the amount you save)

Join a credit union and save the £167 a month for four months. That'd be £668 saved with them. That way they might consider you for a £2,000 loan."Facism arrives as your friend. It's for a deposit on a rented house. We were going to put off moving until after our new baby comes in four months (our current house isn't very child friendly) but an ideal house has come up right nearby our new childminder so we'd like to go for it if we can get the funds. Never mind we may just have to stick to Plan A.0

some councils do rent deposit schemes so worth looking at.
Do you have a deposit to come back from your current home? if so your bank may help for a short term overdraft if it is likely to be just a couple of weeks0
