budgeting loan

Hi all,
I applied for a budgeting loan on the 10/04 and am yet to receive a reply. I phoned today and they said there was nothing on the system and to phone back if I haven't heard anything by next Tuesday. I know it could take a while with the easter holiday but I was wondering how much longer it will be based on other' experience.
They also said I will receive a text when a decision has been made, is this correct?

when we last got one it took just under 3 weeks from sending form off to them to getting it paid.

maybe because of Easter it will take a little longer but would have thought they should have got it by now.

just a note if you ever ask for one again is to always send the form to them by royal mail signed for then you can check that they got it.

also i have never heard them texting people so not sure where you heard that from.

JCP have been texting people when jsa income support ESA etc is awarded for sometime now they may have extended this to Budgeting Loans too it helps them by keeping the phone calls down.

Last time I applied for one, had to send it off 3 times as they hadn't received it, took 2 months before they even received the application! Though turn around was quite quick when they had.
