So last week we were at the cinema seeing the amazing spiderman 2 (brilliant btw) well what I saw of it was!
There was a family there (mother. Granny and three kids) fair enough as the film was 12A
One of the kids was maybe 3-4 and she would just not behave! She was running up and down the stairs (I'm sure the mother would have been first to complain if the child had of fell!) talking (at one point my OH and some others went shhhhh) and just generally messing around, then the whining started, she wanted to lie down then she wanted to go home
On a whole she completely spoilt it!
Do you think kids that young should be allowed into adult type films? Have you had experience of this?
I would expect it if it was a kids film but I wouldn't have expected it in the amazing spiderman 2 screening

The worst one I had was the brain dead parent who allowed another family member to bring a 4 year old child into Django Unchained just at the bit where brains and bodies were being splattered everywhere.
I was about to fetch the manager when the child became so distressed that they all left. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I didn't think kids were allowed into age restricted films, isn't that the whole point?0

The spiderman is a 12A so there isn't a lower age limit and kids can go in if accompanied by an adult, although it's not recommended.
They certainly shouldn't have been in the cert 18 film which was why I was about to fetch the manager. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

its just a general disregard for others enjoyment of the film isnt it really ?
same with any situation0 -
You'll have the same problem every time you go to see any of the Marvel or DC brand films, because kids love them and want to see them. And kids will inevitably make a noise or a nuisance of themselves in some way.
The best way around it? Go to the last showing - 10 or 11pm on a weekday night. There will be less people generally and no kids in there at all. Sorted. You had me at your proper use of "you're".0 -
Spider-Man has never been a character aimed at just adults. All 12A means is that under 12s have to be accompanied.
A late night screening would be better for you, as they're 18+ only.
BTW, I was taken to movies by my big brother from the age of 3 or 4. I didn't run around or play up at all, and this would have included Ray Harryhausen animated movies, which were far more scary than what is categorised as a kids' movie these days. I would have missed out on some fantastic movies had children been banned from them.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Late night isn't really better as I've found we struggle to get a taxi when it's late0

This is why I tend to watch adult movies during the holidays at the cinema. At least then, there's a very low chance of children there.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
