JSA not being paid now not getting HB....help

My OH has been off work since December 2012. He was claiming income based ESA and getting roughly £7 per week. I work 15 hours per week. CTC have gone up £1 per week which means OH now doesn't get his ESA and because of this our Housing Benefit has now stopped. I have just informed the HMRC that I have started a self employed job of 15 hours per week so in total I now work 30 hours. They couldn't advise me how much I will be getting so I now cannot advise the Housing Benefit of what our tax credits will be. Can anyone help and advise me as I am getting a little stressed out thinking that we now will not be getting housing benefit and my wages will not even cover half the rent......
Sorry just realised I have put JSA in title when I meant ESA....sorry!!
Any advice would be really helpful, thank you

Tell the HB department, what income you are getting now, so that they can reinstate the claim, then when any thing changes, notify them.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.

With regard to your self employment you would be well advised to keep a diary of what you are doing with your time. The timing of your venture combined with the hours is likely to raise questions from TC compliance.0

Child Tax credit does not affect income based ESA so it must be something else that has stopped his ESA - probably your increase in salary?0 -

At the point the ESA stopped my salary had not changed as I was not Self Employed then. I supplied the Housing Benefit dept with my latest bank statement so they know what my income was last month. My OH has now received a letter from DWP confirming that the tax credits have gone up and that is why the ESA has stopped.0 -

Yes, working tax credits affect income based ESA but since you were not working enough hours I assumed you wouldn't have been entitled to working tax credits.0 -
I've not been paid WTC though I have only ever received CTC as I don't work enough hours to get WTC0
