Halifax / Sequence policy

Hi,
Can anyone please advise? I (aparently) have a policy that starts TIN and has 9 numbers after it. Halifax advised me of this in a letter. They further advised that Sequence (now Connells) sold this policy and I should contact them about it. Neither Halifax nor Connells can tell me what this policy is! and halifax will not provide a SAR for it, they just keep referring me back to Sequence. Does any one else have a policy sold by either of these that starts TIN and if so can you please advise what it actually is?
Thanks

Thanks,
Had a verbal SAR from them saying what they do hold and this policy is not one of them!0 -
Halifax wont know what policies a third party may set up.
Connells will only know on policies they are liable for and were sold after 14th Jan 2005. Sequence still exist but trade under the estate agent brands on their website and you would complain to the appropriate one (assuming it is a post 2005 sale). If its pre 2005, little or nothing is likely to exist as its pre-regulation.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

A full Subject Access Request (SAR) letter means that they legally have to declare everything they've kept on file for you for (at least) the last six years and (sometimes) more.
It costs £10.
If this reveals no details of your mystery policy, then any complaint about it will not be possible either.0 -
Thanks, will make formal SAR request to Sequence (Connells) and see what happens................................0
