Google Chrome browser question

My usual browser of choice is Firefox, however, something seems to have happened recently which causes it to crash regularly on my Mac.

I've tried the usual fixes, removed add-ons, created a new profile, everything suggested including a complete removal and new install, nothing has worked.

I reached the point this morning where I thought 'What am I doing? Bin it and use Chrome.'

I've installed Chrome and it works perfectly, however, I have one small niggle with it regarding this forum, and others I suspect.

When you hover over a thread title you can read the 1st post without opening the thread, really handy for ignoring threads you don't want to bother with.

On Firefox when you hove the text bubble remains open until you move the cursor off the title. With Chrome it only remains visible for a short time.

Fine for brief posts but not long enough to read the more lengthy posts. I'm hoping that this is some timeout parameter that can be changed.

I've had a quick look but can't see anything that looks likely. Can anyone help?

As far as I can determine, Chrome uses the default tooltip timeout setting for the operating system.
