Hi
Has anyone heard or even invested with this company ‘Emerald Knight’? I haven’t but I know a few people who have and adamant that it is a good investment.
From what they are saying there is an investment to be made in Oil in Kentucky in the US (approx. £10k). You then start to receive monthly payments and the value of your purchase increases aswel (approx. 30% returns).
Looking into the company it don’t seem right to me – but just wanted to ask if anyone who has invested with this company and if they have received payments etc

I suppose they are no worse than any other company that sells carbon credits in the Amazon who are unregulated by the FCA

Is it the same company as this?

By "approximate 30% returns", does that mean...
A. You will lose 70% of your capital, or
B. "Approx." to mean +/- ?I am one of the Dogs of the Index.0 -
I have never dealt with Emerald Knight, however they did heavily promote "carbon credit" investments supplied by a company called Industry RE, and there is a large number of people now trying to (a) find Industry RE and the money, and (b) see whether they can claim against EK for not performing due diligence on the company and its products, and whether there is a mis-selling issue.
None of those (several hundred) people would recommend that you deal with this company. I personally cannot comment.0 -
Just wait until your friends try to take money out and see what happens, then they might not think its such a good investment.0

I take very high risks investments and I get about 6% a year yield (not guaranteed), so ask yourself a question how do you expect to get 30% returns?0 -

Agreed. It takes 3 years paying back 30% for the original investment to have been used up. I guess some people are prepared to wait that long to find out they've been scammed, by then it is far too late.
As much as the new flexible pension rules make sense to me I can see some people being easily separated from their money and losing their entire pension pots. It always amazes me the number of people who say they aren't prepared to risk their money in the stock market yet happily accept a guarantee from an unknown entity for an unfeasible return. Bizarre!Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
Yep i just wanted peoples feedback, its not me who has invested but someone who is close to me. I advised them not too but they still have done.0
