Mortgage total mortgage protection ppi

When we took out our mortgage in 2009 we were strongly advised that we needed this ppi of which I have evidence in black and white. I rang the bank in question 3 weeks ago and wax told they would send the necessary paperwork out to proceed with reclaiming. I still have not received this paperwork. Can anyone advise what I need to do next. I have called the bank twice now to say the paperwork has still not arrived.

I would think so as most of these were put in place under an advice process. As most people have a financial need for protection with their mortgage, you would expect to be advised to have things to cover it.

Halifax TMPP is multi-segment. You can have any one or combination of any of the segments. Only one of those segments is MPPI. The others are life assurance, critical illness cover and income protection (none of which are MPPI).

So, before you make a PPI complaint, have you actually checked to see whether you have PPI and its not one of the other segments? If you do have PPI, then what is your complaint? (noting that most MPPI complaints fail; unlike loan and credit card PPI where most succeed).

There is no paperwork to send out for you to complain. You either fill out the FOS PPI form and send it to them or you state your reasons for complaint in writing or you phone their complaints line and make the complaint over the phone.
